omschrijvingWalther Model 9 semi-automatic pistol. The stock has black chequered grips- the rest of the pistol is steel. The butt incorporates the magazine. The barrel is hidden by the cocking slide which takes up the whole of the top of the weapon. A small blade foresight is fitted with a notch rearsight. The pistol is semi-automatic. The calibre is 6.35mm. The pistol is stamped on the frame '59094Z' and on the barrel 'Waffenfabrik Zella Mehlis (Thur)'. It is also stamped with a crown over 'N' and 'Walther's Patent Mod 9'. Before the war- officers were expected to provide their own pistols and some officers seem to have been content with a 6.35mm which had the virtues of small size and light weight. This example is said to have been taken from a captured U boat in the Second World War. The holster is of brown leather with magazine in pocket. The holster is marked ZBA2213.1 and can be found via the Whole/Part toggle.
