| omschrijving | Light cavalry type sword. The hilt consists of a straight stirrup guard- plain pommel and an ivory grip with a fouled anchor inset. The blade is plain and curved. The scabbard is black leather fitted with two gilt lockets and a chape. There is an inscription engraved on the top of the scabbard: 'Read- Cutler- Portsmouth'. This sword forms part of the Spinney Collection. It was received with fifteen other swords- five dirks and three pistols (AAA3114.12.2- AAA3115).
