omschrijvingCreamware butter dish, part of a service belonging to Nelson's brother, the Reverend William Nelson (1747-1835), later 1st Earl Nelson. The body of the dish is made in one piece with the stand and is painted with Greek key pattern borders in two shades of red with a gilt rim. The lid has a similar border and is also painted with an Earl's coronet, Nelson's chelengk and 'SAN JOSEF' crests with his motto 'FAITH AND WORKS'.
