omschrijvingCelestial table globe. Astronomical details on the sphere include a magnitude table inside a cartouche, below Cetus. The stars are marked by their Bayer notation. The Milky Way and the Large Magellanic Cloud are labelled; there are labels for novae in Cygnus and in Ophiuchus. A total of 13 stars and four star groups are named, with one star written in manuscript. The 48 Ptolemaic constellations and the four non-Ptolemaic constellations are drawn. Two of the southern constellations are drawn as well as those of Plancius and some of those of Hevelius. The stand of the present globe GLB0147 comes from the same workshop as that of Delisle, GLB0146. For full details about the cartography and construction of this globe please refer to the related publication.
