omschrijvingCelestial table globe. It forms a pair with the terrestrial globe, Coronelli GLB0124. Astronomical details on the sphere include stars marked by various symbols, but there is no magnitude table. The Milky Way is drawn but not labelled. The Large Magellanic Cloud is labelled and the Small Cloud appears in a damaged area. In Aquarius, there is a reference to stars observed by Hevelius with a telescope. There is an address to the reader in a cartouche. A comment on the southern constellations is contained within another cartouche. There are notes and comments on novae and one nova in Cygnus is labelled. There is another comment at the head of Cygnus and the nova in Ophiuchus is labelled. There are 11 sets of notes with dates on comets, in or near constellations. Up to 81 stars are named, there are six star groups and one label for the left and right claw of Scorpio. The 48 Ptolemaic constellations and two of the non-Ptolemaic constellations are drawn. Seven of the southern constellations are drawn and those of Plancius. Not all the constellations are labelled. Although only the Latin names of the constellations are recorded here, these names, including the more recent ones, also appear in Italian and Greek. For full details about the cartography and construction of this globe please refer to the related publication.
