Geographical details on the sphere include the location of the antipodes of Venice marked by an asterisk and labelled. California is drawn as an island. Along the Antarctic Circle there is a label. There are four dated labels in Australia, one in New Zealand and one at Cape Horn; there are also notes on discoveries at the Cape of Good Hope. There is a note on Magellan's voyage in a cartouche. Below the coat of arms there is a note. Ten discoverers are mentioned in chronological order, including for example, 'Naddocho 860', 'Tristan di Cunha 1516' and 'Nuno de Guzman 1532'. The tracks of two voyages are shown. Along the second track there is some data on the variation of the compass. This is followed by a note on the second voyage. A total of 13 oceans are named. The paper horizon scale for this globe is a later replacement. For full details about the cartography and construction of this globe please refer to the related publication.
