Pieter Jan Klapwijk, application manager Maritime Museum Rotterdam | 2017-07-24 | 10:40:24@Scott Mulder: The 'Ponape' on the photograph is a four-masted steel–hulled barque, built in 1903 as 'Regina Elena' on an Italian Shipyard for an Italian owner.In 1911 she was sold to Germany and renamed 'Ponape'. The ship has thence served under various namers and various flags and was eventually scrapped in 1936.
